Red Hook Tavern review from Mike and Lia


It’s an ode to the Peter Luger burger, but maybe, the student has become the teacher. The main event is set atop of the classic raw onion, and waits patiently for your first bite to pierce the salted crust and release juice down your arm. Yellow american, reminiscent of your after school grilled cheese, holds the meat together in a perfect shrink wrap. The soft toasted bun is rumored to be the only secret (and distributor) Luger was willing to share. This burger provides just the right amount of nostalgia. 5.5 patties.
